Privacy Policy
Ichikeshi: Photo GPS Remover (this “App”) is an iOS app that removes location and other metadata from copies of your photos so you can save, share, or copy them. This Policy explains how the App handles your information.
Information We Collect
All photo processing happens on your device. The App does not access your device's current location or provide photos, GPS location embedded in photos, or other photo metadata to advertising services. The App does not send photos or photo metadata to its operator and has no account registration system.
However, Google AdMob and Google's UMP may collect information for advertising and consent management in the free version. Your IP address may be used to estimate your approximate geographic area (see Advertising).
Photo Processing
- The App creates a copy of the photo you choose and removes location and other metadata from the copy. Your original photo is never modified.
- In the free version, the App removes location data only. Premium also offers “All but Date,” “All Metadata,” and “Custom.”
- Live Photos are processed with their motion and sound kept intact.
- At your direction, the processed copy is saved to your photo library, shared, or copied to the clipboard.
Photo Library Access
- The App uses the standard iOS photo picker to let you choose photos. Choosing photos with the photo picker does not require photo library access.
- Photo library access is used only for the following purposes:
- Finding photos with location data: the App checks on your device whether photos in your library have location data.
- Saving copies: the App saves processed copies to its own album in your photo library.
- Deleting originals: only when you ask it to, the App deletes the original photo. Deletion happens after iOS asks you to confirm, and deleted photos move to Recently Deleted.
Information Stored on Your Device
The App stores the following information only on your device. None of it is ever sent to the operator.
- Processing history: only the date and time, the number of photos, the source (Photos, Files, Search, or the share sheet), and the removal setting. Photos and location data are never stored in the history. You can turn processing history on or off in Settings (it is on by default) and clear it from Settings.
- Information used to verify purchases: the product ID, transaction ID, and the date and time of verification, stored to check your purchase status.
Clipboard
When you copy a processed photo to the clipboard, it is copied for use on this device only and is set not to sync to the clipboard on your other devices.
In-App Purchase
- The App offers a one-time in-app purchase, “Premium.”
- Purchases, restores, and payment are processed by Apple's App Store (StoreKit). The operator never receives payment information such as credit card details.
Advertising
- The free version displays ads from Google AdMob, provided by Google LLC.
- The App uses Google's User Messaging Platform (UMP) to manage advertising consent. If Ad Privacy Options appears in Settings, you can use it to change your choices.
- These services may collect device information, your IP address, and information such as ad impressions and taps for advertising and consent management. An approximate geographic area estimated from your IP address may be used for advertising. The App does not provide your device's current location or GPS location embedded in photos for advertising.
- See Google's policy for information about Google's handling of this data.
- The App does not request App Tracking Transparency permission. This does not mean advertising services collect no device information, IP addresses, or other data.
- With Premium, the App neither displays nor loads ads. The share extension also displays no ads.
Disclosure to Third Parties
The App does not provide photos or their embedded GPS location and metadata to advertising services. Data processing for advertising and consent management in the free version is described under Advertising above.
When you choose to share a photo through the share sheet, its subsequent handling is governed by the receiving app or service's terms and privacy policy. Communications through operating-system or cloud features, such as retrieving photos from iCloud or syncing copies saved to the photo library, follow those services' settings and policies.
Analytics and Tracking
The App does not include its own analytics SDK.
Deleting Information and Changing Permissions
- You can clear processing history from the App's Settings.
- Copies saved to your photo library remain even if you delete the App. If you want to delete them, please delete them yourself using the Photos app.
- You can change photo access at any time from the iOS Settings app.
Changes to This Policy
This Policy may change as features are added to or changed in the App. Material changes will be announced by updating this page.
